The rosary will be followed by a brief meeting.

MQP TURKEY AND HAM RAFFLE

HI Sir Knights:

I am seeking your support for a Turkey and Ham raffle sponsored by the Mary
Queen of Peace Council. The raffle takes place Saturday, December
First in the basement room of the Mary Queen of Peace Church.  It will run
from 1.00 to 4.00 PM.  Come along and help us keep the wheel spinning as we
look for plenty of  turkey and ham winners.

I thank you for the hospitality shown me during my visit to your Council on October 17th. I applaud you for following protocol in the setup of your meeting room and the way you conducted your meeting.

I encourage you to continue with your many programs and especially membership recruitment to ensure the survival of your Council and it's support for your parish and community.

STATE DEPUTY TO BE GUEST SPEAKER AT OCTOBER MEETING

Worthy State Deputy, Brother Baden Clouter will be the special guest speaker at the St. Paul's Knights of Columbus general meeting on October 17th.

We will pray the Rosary at 7:00, followed by our regular meeting. Refreshments to follow

The dress code is in effect. 

Here is our Worthy Sate Deputy's Bio:

 

Baden was born in Carmanville in 1946 and moved to Stephenville in 1957.  He became a convert in 1987.  Brother Baden became a member of the Knights of Columbus on May 1, 1988.  In 1969 he married to Bonnie and they have two children, Cherrie and Sheldon.  They also have the privilege of enjoying four grandchildren, Jacob, Kaia, Brooklyn and Camden.

He started serving on OLPH Council Executive in 1989 and served on that Executive every year up to the time of being elected to the State Board.  He has served as a Trustee, Deputy Grand Knight, Recorder, Lecturer, Membership Director, Admissions Committee Chairman and Program Director. He served three (3) consecutive terms as Grand Knight from 2002 to 2005. 

Brother Baden was also Knight of the Year in 1994-1995.  He was chosen as Knight of the Month on eleven occasions since he became a member of the Knights of Columbus.  He was selected Sir Knight of the Year in OLPH Assembly for 2010.  He and his family received the Provincial Family of the year in 1991 and OLPH Council received many awards under his leadership.

Brother Baden joined the Fourth Degree on May 14, 1989.  He served as Faithful Navigator for four (4) terms from 1992-1996.  He also served as Faithful Captain. Brother Baden was appointed District Deputy for 2005-2006 and reappointed for 2006-2007. 

Brother Baden was elected to the Position of State Warden at our State Convention in 2007 and was re-elected to that position at the Convention 2008.  In July of 2008 he was appointed to the position of State Advocate by the State Executive. Brother Baden was elected to the position of State Treasurer at our State Convention in 2009 and re-elected in 2010.  He was appointed to the position of State Secretary by the State Executive in March 2011.  Brother Baden was elected to the position of State Deputy at our Convention May 2011 and re-elected in May 2012.

We need all degree team members to attend.
